Day 6 - An AI Assisted 10 Day Tour in New South Wales Australia
Had a nice breakfast at the hotel then Marilyn came and picked us up to head off to hike in the mist. We went to Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains National Park and set out to see what we would through the clouds and mist. We headed down the trail towards Wentworth Falls, passing by the point that Charles Darwin visited in 1836. The scenery was beautiful and there are lots of smaller falls along the track. We got the top of the Wentworth falls, continued across and down the other side a bit to try and get a better view. The clouds were filling the valley so not much visibilily. You just had to wait and see if there was a going to be a break. We talked to this young couple who had just come from the “Undercliff Track” on the other side of the falls (from where we came). They said it was worth the walk and not too difficult so off we went. You walk a portion under cliff overhangs, hence the tracks name, and there are a few nice viewpoints along the way. Got a nice break in the clouds for some decent pics of the falls. The trails are well maintained and built for the rain!

Waterfalls and Mist
We decided to try one more lookout in Blackheath, but the fog was so thick when we got there you could only see around 30 meters. Back into Katoomba to find lunch. We were heading to a bakery, but saw the local RSL (Returned and Service League of Australia) so stopped there. Everyone is welcome, you just get a temporary membership. This one had a Lounge, Bistro, and Casino. The food was excellent, very reasonably priced (and so was the beer!). We ended up going back there around 18:30 for some live music in the lounge. Stayed for a one set. Not bad, but by the time we left the lounge was about half empty. Tomorrow we head north to Dubbo to visit a wildlife park. Should be fun, and again, looking forward to another change in scenery.
