Exploring Gosford, NSW
With only a couple of days left in Gosford, we wanted to find somewhere locally to got for a walk. We started at Brisbane Water National Park for a 2 km bush walk. The trail had a number of lookouts over a couple of waterfalls and views of the forest. There were longer tracks but portions were closed due to damage from recent weather. We had hoped visit a place called Sommers Falls but access was closed off to there too. There was some aboriginal rock carvings along the trail we walked and we found a couple of small waterfalls. Spied a small lizard that decided that it would give us a good photo op and came out into the sun to pose.

Rocks, Lizards, Trees, and Waterfalls
Next stop was a boardwalk along the beach in Terrigal which is on the east coast just outside of Gosford. This is as very popular spot, and for good reason! Lovely golden sand beach, waves, cafes, cricket pitch, a hilltop lookout over the ocean. Again a hot day but the breeze off the water kept it comfortable. The big difference we’re finding on the coast is the humidity, so any breeze is welcome.

Gosford seems like a nice place to live. Lots to do, a reasonably short commute by train to Sydney, and great access up the coast.
